Kenneth McCauley, CPA, ABV


Ken specializes in financial reporting, cash flow and tax planning for individuals and businesses. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in accounting, Ken gained professional experience working for several multinational companies. He first served as senior auditor at the national CPA firm, Main Lafrentz & Company and then as a financial analyst of international operations for Cooper Laboratories in Palo Alto. Subsequently, he became the manager of financial forecasting at Genstar Corporation in San Francisco.

His experience at these companies gave him an excellent background in the development of accounting controls and procedures as well as budgeting and forecasting systems.

Ken joined A.L. Nella & Co. and became partner in charge in 1988, since then he has gained substantial experience working with small and medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. He is in charge of the audit and accounting services. In 2010 Ken obtained his accreditation in business valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA.)

Ken is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPA’s. He is very active in community services and has served on the boards of the Golden Gate Business Association, The Stop AIDS Project, San Francisco Historical Automobile Society, and the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa.

D. Chris Kollaja, CPA


Mr. Kollaja has been in public accounting for over twenty five years. A California Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Kollaja received his masters of public accounting degree in taxation from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also earned a bachelor`s degree in accounting.

Mr. Kollaja’s broad range of experience has addressed such industries as professional services, tax-exempts, real estate, construction, retail, wholesale, insurance and other areas. He has worked for Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young & Company) and Grant Thornton, and also held the post of chief financial officer for a real estate company. With his experience as a financial officer, Mr. Kollaja understands the importance of internal accounting systems and financial reports.

Mr. Kollaja uses his accounting specialization to help individuals and families build sound, long-term financial portfolios. He also heads ALN Financial Planners.

Mr. Kollaja’s general activities include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is an active member of many charitable and religious organizations


Joan Zawaski, CPA

Director of Tax

After more than thirty-six years in the field of public accounting, Joan Zawaski has extensive experience with the tax-exempt, construction, entertainment, healthcare, legal and hospitality industries, as well as with manufacturing and wholesale and retail sales.

Ms. Zawaski received her bachelor`s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Before entering the field of public accounting, she held the post of lecturer in English at California State University, Hayward, and chief financial officer of Rail Construction, Inc., a general construction firm in Oakland. Her background in the construction industry gives her a special understanding of the necessity of controlling costs and budgets and of the need for up-to-date, accurate financial information.

Ms. Zawaski is member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member and past director of the East Bay Estate Planning Counsel. Her general activities include past service with the Golden Gate Audubon Society, Bay Area Career Women, and the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco.

Daniel W. Anderson, CPA

Tax & Accounting Manager

Daniel Anderson joined the staff of A.L. Nella & Company in October 1981. He received his CPA certification in 1990.

Daniel graduated with honors in 1977 from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana with a bachelor`s degree in math/economics and German language studies. After college, Mr. Anderson became a staff accountant for an oilfield drilling company in northern Montana. Several years later, he accepted a position as a staff accountant for a licensed public accounting firm, gaining experience in individual tax returns for farmers and other small business proprietors.

Since joining A.L. Nella & Company, he has gained further experience with taxation of small professional corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, proprietorships, nonprofit organizations and a wide variety of individual income tax situations, as well as experience in financial reporting.

Wesley Sito

Tax & Accounting Manager

Wesley graduated in 1999 from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA in California and has 17 years of business and professional experiences. In October 2014 Wesley obtained his business valuation certification from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He is a member of The California Society of Certified Public Accountants

Wesley has managed the audit engagements of both for-profit and non-profit organizations and has performed review and compilation of financial statements and procedures in compliance with GAAP for numerous small and medium business clients.

Additionally, Wes has provided financial controllership and accounting and bookkeeping functions to clients. He has been responsible for monthly forecasting and projection, financial analysis and general ledger account activities.

His accounting experience includes technology companies, manufacturing, construction, service industries, retail, real estate development, community foundations, private schools, charitable trusts, non-profit film documentary organization and other non-profit organizations.

Natalya Fedorova

Senior Staff Accountant

Ms. Fedorova is the firm’s senior staff accountant, and has more than 7 years of public accounting experience in both audit and tax. She serves a variety of clients across many industries, including real estate, construction companies, service industries, private equity firms, retail, charitable trusts, and foundations. Additionally, Natalya provides a broad range of services in audit and accounting, compilations, preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations and non-profit organizations, Natalya conducts various tax research projects that brings added value to all engagements. She works closely with clients to provide tax and accounting consultations to help identify and fulfill specific client needs.

Natalya graduated from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Business Administration. Natalya also obtained a Master of Science Degree in Taxation at Golden Gate University San Francisco.

Outside of the office, Natalya enjoys spending quality time with her Family; she is also passionate about Bikram Yoga and hiking.

Kevin Tusing

Director of Tax

Kevin Tusing is a tax director with close to 15 years of public accounting service. He is responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning, analyzing complicated tax transactions, and dealing with various governmental agencies. Main industries within the tax field include: real estate, technology, film, and professional services.

Before coming back to AL Nella & Company (originally from 2006 – 2010), Mr. Tusing worked in Los Angeles, California for Mann, Gelon, Glodney, Gumerove, & Yee, LLC (formerly known as Mann, Gelon, Glodney, & Augenstein, CPAs) for close to 6 years. His primary focus while in LA related to family real estate investment (1031 exchanges, refinances, basis adjustments, partnership allocations, and implementation of the tangible property regulations), film production partnerships, high net worth individuals involved in professional services (consultants, investment advisors, attorney’s), and foreign disclosure (foreign asset ownership). Upon returning to the Bay Area, he worked for EisnerAmper, LLP concentrating on real estate, estate and trust(planning and preparation), as well as start-up technology companies(stock options and research and development credits).

Kevin is a certified public accountant who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and also holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
